The clinking of pickaxes is an almost constant noise here. Some of the valley's inhabitants like to mine for pretty gems and ore for their crafts. The walls are dark and moist from the river emptying into the mine. Torchlight causes the walls to shimmer and you realize the very walls are some kind of mineral stone instead of regular rock.
